Transport - Buses Leeds & Yorkshire
The Leeds bus Station is located to the rear of Kirkgate market. There are 2 entrances, one in New York Street and the other in Dyer Street. To the rear of Leeds Bus Station is Leeds Coach station for National express coaches. There are connecting doors between the two. Leeds bus station has a bus information office, toilets, a cafe, newsagents and take away snacks. At the bus stands, there are electronic doors which will only open when a bus is parked there.
Free Leeds City centre bus
A Free City Bus, has operated from 30 January.
The service runs on a clockwise circular route around, and through the city centre, the shopping, business and cultural districts. Brand-new, easy access buses, built by Yorkshire firm Optare and operated by First, will run every few minutes from 6:30am to 7:30pm, Monday to Saturday. Free Leeds City Bus will provide an ideal, free link to key parts of the city centre for people arriving in Leeds by train, bus or coach, reducing the need for them to bring their cars into the city. The buses will be brightly marked with the Leeds Free City Bus logo, which will also be on the roof so it can be spotted by people from their office windows.

MetroLine is open from 0800 to 2000 every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. If you are going to do a lot of traveling on public transport, check for special tickets such as Day Rover, also check out any restrictions that apply.
Leeds Coach Station
The Leeds Coach Station is located to the rear of Kirkgate market. There are 2 entrances, one in New York Street and the other in Dyer Street. To the rear of Leeds Coach Station is Leeds Bus Station, there are connecting doors between the two stations. The Leeds Coach Station is easy to find at the Dyer Street end, but not as easy to find from the New York Street end, but just walk through the bus station and look for the connecting doors just beyond half way down the bus station on the left. The Leeds Coach Station has an information desk a ticket office, a national Express information booth, toilets and a Burger King food oulet.
